Summer Camp 2022 date will be June 20! Limited spots, registration is required. Camp registration will close on the Friday before each session.

Summer Camp is available for ages 6-11.
Sessions will run Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 11:45 am.
This year’s camp theme is Kern County History. Camp Discover will offer campers a space to explore, play and learn about Kern County’s history and
the people who contributed to creating our home. Campers will get the opportunity to experience tours that are normally not provided. We will have performers, docents and lots of fun. Campers will leave with a sense of pride in their community.
We will have tours, guest speakers, games, crafts and De La Rosa ice cream bars for snacks!
Class materials and a Camp Discover shirt will be provided!

Session One: Native Americans
June 20 – June 24
Campers will learn about the way of life of the Yokuts and Tejon tribes that lived in the area that is now Kern County. They will be able to experience activities that the Native Americans practiced and will participate in guided tours led by docents and guests.

Session Two: Canceled

Campers will take two 10-minute breaks and a 20-minute break for snacks each day. A De La Rosa Bar will be provided, but students are encouraged to bring their own snacks if they have any allergies.

Out of consideration for our staff schedules, we ask for students to be picked up on time.
