Village Flea is a family-friendly marketplace at the Kern County Museum and will feature amazing vendors of antiques, collectibles, vintage clothing, art, vintage home furnishings, AND local artisan goods. There will also be local musicians, yummy food, and snacks. Fun times, for all ages!

What, when, where, how much?
Village Flea, featuring true antiques, collectibles, vintage clothing, art and vintage home furnishings, will be on Sunday April 19th, 2020 from 8 AM to 4 PM at the Kern County Museum, located at 3801 Chester Avenue, Bakersfield California 93301.
General public admission is five dollars (5.00). 10 years old and younger are free.
What else will be there?
Food, drink and live music. No outside food or drink allowed into Village Flea.
Do dealers accept checks? Credit Cards?
Some do and some don’t. Plan on using cash.
What happens if I buy something too big to carry?
We will have some porters available for larger items. You can arrange to drive to the rear entrance of the Museum where you can have help loading it into your vehicle. You might also consider making arrangements for delivery.
Can I bring my dog?
The answer is respectfully, no. Registered service animals are allowed.
75.00 for a 10-foot-wide (~20-feet-deep) vendor space. Applications are available at the link above. Spaces will be assigned by Village Flea management and are final. A California resale license is required. Contact email@example.com for more information.
What items will vendors be allowed to sell ?
Village Flea is an antiques and collectibles show and sale. No new items, service vendors, or unrelated vendors will be allowed. We are not a yard sale.
Vintage and antique furniture and artwork
Estate and costume jewelry
Glass, porcelain, ceramics.
Clocks, watches, and vintage appliances.
Curiosities, books, magazines, vinyl records, gadgets and kitchen items.
Vintage clothing… no new clothing, new handbags or new shoes.
No operative guns or new knives.
Set Up and Take Down for vendors?
Set up: Saturday afternoon April 18th from 12PM to 4PM. Overnight security will be provided. No set up on Sunday morning without prior permission. Vendors will have access to Museum grounds at 6am on Sunday the 19th-not earlier.
Take down: Vendors may start packing up at 3:30 PM on Sunday. No motor vehicles will be allowed on Museum grounds until after 4:00 PM. All merchandise must be removed by 6 PM.
Vehicle speed limit is five miles an hour or less. Rain cancellation will be by Village Flea management discretion.
Vendor tents, tables and chairs?
Vendors must supply their own pop up tents and covers, tables and chairs. If the cover has four legs, 25 pounds of weight must anchor each leg. An umbrella must have 35 pounds anchored for a single pole. Electricity will need to be explicitly requested on the vendor application and is limited. Vendors must supply their own extension cords.
Can I share a booth with a friend?
You are welcome to share a booth with a friend. However, you may not split the booth into two 5 x 5 booths. You must integrate your items with each other’s things so that your booth has a flow and is large enough for customers to see your treasures with ease.
A California resale license is required.
